First, we embarked on a 24 day cruise on Holland America's MS Statendam through the south Pacific.
The ship docked in Auckland, on the North Island of New Zealand.
We then took the Brendan tour "New Zealand Rail Experience" with modifications. This was
an independent tour where we have hotel and transportation arrangements, but we travel
without a tour guide.
Finally, we flew back to Hawaii (Auckland - Sydney - Honolulu - Lihue) to join
Grandpa in Kauai for a week of relaxing.
After 7 weeks of vacation, we returned home to plan our next trip.
It's good to be retired!
